"Another world is not only possible, she's on her way...on a quiet day, if I listen very carefully, I can hear her breathing." Arundhati Roy

We are a mystery school for girls who wish to explore and develop a deep sense of belonging to self, others, and the living world around us. This program is offered as a living curriculum to support our daughters (and mothers!) as you move through uncharted terrain of adolescence. It is most beneficial with ongoing participation from early adolescence into the teen years (8-13). It provides a growing network of resources and support for your mothering and daughtering relationship. The intention of our programming is to plant seeds, cultivate gardens, and create a new story. Together, we are cultivating a new archetype for the next frontier. The Star Maiden--is oriented toward delight, attuned to the creative impulse. She navigates uncharted terrain with her inner compass and skillful means. Walking the spiral in sisterhood, grounding into our wild innocence and re-claiming our embodied sovereignty! Come along on this epic journey as we head toward the next frontier.
“The great work of our time is to bring the feminine into this culture. And it's not an easy path. How does each one of us contribute? Believe it or not, it's done in the most personal ways. Take time to listen to your dreams, to write them down. Take time to recognize that there are things going on within you that need to be felt, or said, or lived, or grieved. Pay attention to these things both in yourself and in the people in your life. Pay attention to the authentic self.
— Marion Woodman

We are on a mission to walk gently on the Earth in love and respect for one another with our daughters while they prepare for a once-in-a-lifetime Maiden Voyage.
We believe that all Life is Sacred, and we are dedicated to contributing in small collaborative ways to build a life filled with truth, beauty and goodness.
Right now, we are planting seeds of the emerging future. We envision a world of intergenerational, multi-dimensional and culturally sensitive people that honor dynamic life-affirming ways of thinking, being and relating. We are all daughters of mothers.

Sisterhood has always been our guiding compass. There have been several iterations of our learning community over the years as we have navigated our children's development as well as our own. This work with the Maiden's began on a weekend camping trip in the Spring, 2017 with our founder, Shela and 4 of our girls and continues to unfold through our lived experience with our daughters in community. We quickly became the Invincible Girls Club. In 2021, after our first pod graduated from a 4-year journey together, the Maiden Mystery School and the new archetype, Renegade Maiden was born. We hope you will join us on the next stage of this wild and wonderous ride in the Maiden Mysteries.

We respectfully acknowledge that we are on the present-day home of the Osage Nation and ancestral lands of the Osage, Cherokee and Muscogee people. The process of knowing and acknowledging the land we stand on is a way of honoring and expressing our respect and gratitude to the tribes that have occupied this land as well as all Native people who call this land home.
We are in intimate relationship with this land beneath our feet and the ancestors who walked here before us, who walk with us now and who will walk here long after we are gone. We are dedicated to lifelong learning in reciprocal relationship with this land and her first people.

Shela lives at the edge of the Cross Timbers with her 16-year old daughter, a wild Spirit dog and a velvety black feline named Luna. During her families first visit to this place in the Summer of 2020, Shela sat under the enveloping arms of Great Mother Oaks. An intuitive sense of deep belonging moved through her core. And she knew that her family must move here to listen and tend to this Land and let her story come through. We have been meeting under this tree ever since.
